English Conversation Training Program for Junior High School Students in Toyota City, Aichi on July 23rd(Thu) 7月23日（木）愛知県豊田市で中学生と英会話トレーニング

Approximately 90 third-year junior high school students (ages 14-15) from across Toyota City will participate in this program.

The purpose of the program is to help students recognize both the strengths and challenges of their region, develop the ability to communicate these perspectives internationally, and become active contributors to their local community.
The program is based on the concept of “Think Globally, Act Locally” (Glocal Education).

This training session will be the first of several workshops, and we are seeking international participants to support students during the English communication activities.

July 23rd(Thursday), 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM (1 hour)

Conference room in Toyota City, Aichi
About a 4‑minute walk from Shin‑Toyota Station (Aichi Loop Railway)
About a 7‑minute walk from Toyotashi Station (Meitetsu Toyota Line)

◆Program Details
The session is designed to help students acquire the English skills needed to express their own ideas and opinions.
Students will work in small groups consisting of 6 students and 1 international participant per group (up to 2 participants in some groups.)
The session will begin with an icebreaker activity, followed by one or two English communication activities.

※Participants may be asked to prepare a short presentation introducing their home country (format is flexible).
You may use a laptop or tablet to show slides or images while speaking with the students.

Business-level English proficiency or higher

◆Additional Information
After the initial workshop on July 23rd, the students will participate in an overnight educational program in the Kansai area in late August.
Based on what they learn there, additional workshops will be held in Toyota City on September 17th (Thursday) and September 29th (Tuesday).
These workshops will focus on preparing presentations for a final presentation event scheduled for late September.
Among the international participants who join the first workshop, we plan to invite approximately 2-3 people to participate in these September sessions as well.
Therefore, preference will be given to applicants who are available for both September dates.
Tentative Schedule for September 17th (Tuesday) and 19th(Tuesday) Workshops: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

◆Compensation
5,000 yen
Transportation expenses (actual cost) will be reimbursed for participants who live within approximately two hours of the venue by public transportation (one way), including those residing in Nagoya City and surrounding areas.
※Please note that limited express train fares, Shinkansen fares, and taxi fares are not eligible for reimbursement.

豊田市全域から英語と自分の街に興味がある中学3年生（14から15歳）90名が研修に参加します。

自分たちの地域の良さと課題を認識し、
それを国際的に発信でき、地域で活躍・貢献できる人材を育てるためのプログラムです。

その初回の英会話トレーニング（1時間）に参加してくれる外国人を募集します

◆内容
自分の考えを英語で発表するために必要な英語を身に着けるためのトレーニングです。
グループワークで、1グループに生徒6名、外国人1名（最大2名）の予定です。
まずはアイスブレイクをして、そのあと1～2個の英語アクティビティを行う予定です。

※母国を紹介するスライドの準備をお願いする可能性があります（書式自由）
PCやタブレットで画面を見せながら生徒に話をしていただきます。

7月23日の初回研修のあと、生徒たちは8月後半に関西で宿泊研修を行います。
その宿泊研修で学んだことを元に、9月17日（木）と9月29日（火）にまた豊田市で研修を行います。
この2日間の研修は、9月下旬に予定している発表会のプレゼンテーションの準備になります
7月23日の初回研修に参加した外国人のうち、2～3名の方にご参加いただく予定なので、両日にも参加が出来る方を優先で採用したいと考えています。
（9月17日（木）、9月29日（火）ともに15時～18時を予定）

交通費実費支給（ただし名古屋市等、片道2時間以内のところにお住まいの方）
※特急、新幹線、タクシー利用は対象外です
