January 15th (Thu) – Intercultural Program with High School Students in Fussa city, Tokyo 1月15日（木）東京都福生市の高校生と異文化理解のプログラム

We would like you to talk to Japanese students about your home country, its education system, and student life!
The goal is for students to gain a global perspective by learning about the differences between the world and Japan.
While this is primarily a Japanese-language program, we are looking to recruit additional participants who can communicate in English, as some students wish to interact in English.
Please note that the host and other members may speak in Japanese during some parts of the program.

◆Location
12-minute walk from Fussa Station (JR Ome Line)

◆Program Schedule
13：20～15：10（There’s a 10-minute break in between.）

◆Students
First-year high school students(15-16 years old), 7 classes, 279 students

◆Contents
Please talk to the students about your home country, its education system, and student life.
The purpose is to help students understand the differences between the world and Japan, and to encourage them to develop a global perspective.

The program will take place in various classrooms of the school.
There will be 7 foreign participants in each class.

Foreign participants will first introduce themselves to the students.
Then, the group will break into smaller groups for interaction.
Each group will consist of 1 foreign participant and 6-7 students.
In your group, please talk about your home country, its educational system, differences with Japan, and any other relevant topics.
The students will ask many questions, so please be ready to provide lots of information.
After the first round of interactions, the groups will rotate so that students can interact with more foreign participants.
Each group interaction will last around 20 minutes.
Afterward, there will be a brief discussion time with the students, followed by a presentation from them at the end.

※Please prepare information about your home country, your school, and your education system. It’s helpful to use photos to illustrate your points.
If possible, creating a slide presentation would make it easier for the students to follow, but if you can’t prepare slides, please bring plenty of photos.
Please bring a large digital tool (like a laptop or tablet) that has a big screen to help students see clearly when you explain. Smartphones should only be used as supplementary tools, as their screens are too small for this purpose.

◆Requirements
・Japanese proficiency preferred.
・Someone who can speak about the schools and education systems of their home country or any country they’ve lived in.
・Someone who is willing to do the preparation (making presentation slides) beforehand

◆Number of recruitment
7 people (There are 49 participants in total.)

◆Reward
7,000yen
Transportation expenses will be reimbursed (only for those living in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, or Ibaraki).
※Reimbursement will be transferred to your bank account on the 20th of the following month.

皆さんの母国のことや、母国の教育、学生生活のことを、日本の子どもたちにしてください！
世界と日本との違いを知ることでグローバルな視点や視野をもってもらうことが目的です。
本来は日本語でのプログラムですが一部英語でコミュニケーションを取りたい生徒がいるため、英語が話せる方を追加募集します。※司会者や他のメンバーは日本語で話す場面がありますが御了承ください

◆プログラム時間
13：20～15：10（間に10分休憩あり）

◆生徒
高校1年生（15～16歳）　7クラス 279名

◆内容
母国紹介や母国の教育、学生生活のことを生徒たちに話してください。
世界と日本との違いを知ることでグローバルな視点や視野を生徒たちにもってもらうことが目的です。

学校の各教室で実施します。
1クラスに外国人は7名です。

外国人から生徒たちに自己紹介をします。
その後グループに分かれて生徒たちと交流します。
1グループに外国人は1名、生徒は6～7名です。

母国紹介、母国の学校や教育の特徴、日本との違いなどを話てください。
生徒たちからたくさん質問されますので、たくさん教えてあげてください。
途中でグループを交代して、多くの外国人と交流できるようにします。
1グループにつき20分程度の交流になる予定です。
そのあと、生徒と少しディスカッションの時間を設けて、最後に生徒から発表になる予定です

※あなたの国のこと、あなたの国の学校や教育のことを生徒たちに話せるように写真を中心に「事前準備」をしてきてください。
スライドにしてあると見やすくていいですが、スライドが用意できない人は写真をたくさん用意してきてください。
生徒たちが見やすいように、紙または、パソコン・タブレットの画面の大きいデジタルツールをご持参いただき、生徒たちに説明をお願いします。
スマートフォンは画面が小さいので補助的な使い方としてください。

交通費実費支給（東京、神奈川、千葉、埼玉、茨城　にお住まいの方に限ります）
