日本で働いている留学生から、日本でアルバイトを探す後輩たちへのメッセージ①

普段、日本人が話している日本語は教科書で紹介されているものと異なります。そのため、可能な限りカジュアルな日本語を聞くようにしてください。それと、自分に厳しくしすぎないようにしてください。たとえミスをしたとしても、そこから学び続けることが重要です。

The Japanese language normally spoken by Japanese people differs from that presented in textbooks. Therefore, try to listen to casual Japanese whenever possible. Also, try not to be too hard on yourself. Even if you make mistakes, it is important to keep learning from them.

アルバイトを探すときは給料の高さを優先してはいけません。 まず、自分に一体何かできるのかしっかり見極め考えることが重要です。 最後に、自分の日本語能力を考慮することが良いでしょう。 焦らず、自分のレベルに合ったアルバイトを探しましょう。

When looking for a part-time job, don't put wage first. First, it is important to consider what you can do carefully. Also, it is a good idea to consider your Japanese language ability. Don't be in a hurry to find a part-time job that suits your level.

日本語の勉強に時間を投資しましょう。日本語が上手であればあるほど就職のチャンスは広がります とくに、特定の専門分野を極めている人は日本で就職活動をする際、日本語力が未熟なことでチャンスを逃す可能性があることを覚えておいてください。貴重なチャンスを逃さないためも日本語を覚えることはとても重要です。

英語が第2外国語だったとしても語学力があれば、日本で英語教師のアルバイトを見つけることは可能です。 これから日本で仕事を探したいと思っているなら、仕事を探していること周囲に伝えておけば、良い仕事が見つかった場合、連絡を貰えるかもしれません。私が得た仕事のほとんどは、口コミによるものでした。 そのため、留学中には積極的に人とコミュニケーションを取って様々な人と繋がっておくことが大切です。

怖がらず、興味をもったアルバイトに沢山応募してみてください。 職場には優しい先輩が多いので、自分の日本語レベルが低い場合でも、あなたが謙虚な姿勢で一生懸命学ぶなら仕事を１から丁寧に教えてもらえます。 日本で実際に働けば、日本人とのコミュニケーション能力が上がるので日本での就職を希望するならアルバイト経験は必須です！

どんな時でも諦めないでください。留学生活をしていると、苦しいことや辛いことが沢山あると思います。しかし、日本には「止まない雨はない」という言葉があります。これは、辛いことはいつまでも続かない、必ず終わりがくる」という意味です。そう信じて、一緒に頑張りましょう！
