■今現在、あなたは日本で何をしていますか？
I did a Masters in Peace Studies（創価大学）I am currently working towards being an entrepreneur in Japan. My goal is to create a space which helps people understand and appreciate each other’s culture and build strong connections and friendship with each other. The business plan which is about creating a space around hospitality, food, cultural exchanges and cultivating an environment of interactions and exchange is at a very nascent stage. Right now, I am learning Japanese. I am working at a restaurant to polish my cooking and kitchen management skills. Besides I am scouting the business market, networking, understanding rules and regulations to set up a business in Japan to understanding whether my idea or plan is feasible and the best way possible to move forward.
私は創価大学で修士課程を終えました。現在は日本で起業するために働いています。私の目標は、人々が互いの文化を理解し、尊重し、強いつながりと友情を築くのに役立つ場を作ることです。現在、ホスピタリティ、食、文化交流の場を創出し、相互に交流する環境を育む事業計画はまだまだ初期段階です。今私は、日本語を学んでいて、調理技術と経営能力を磨くためにレストランで働いています。加えて、ビジネス市場の調査、ネットワーク作り、日本でビジネスを立ち上げるための規則や法令を理解し、自分のアイデアや計画が実現可能かつ前進するための最善の方法かどうかを探っているところです。
■過去、日本以外の国で、どんな学校に通い、どんな勉強をしましたか？
Before coming to Japan, I lived in India. My education too is from India. After school I did a Bachelors degree with an Honours in English Literature. During this time I also studied Psychology and Journalism. My second Bachelor degree was in Law and then I did a Masters in Corporate Law and Governance including International Business which I completed in2009.
日本に来る前はインドに住んでいたので、これまでの教育もインドで受けてきました。英文学において優れた学生に与えられる学士号を取得しました。在学中に心理学とジャーナリズムも学びました。２つ目の学士号は法律で、国際ビジネスを含む起業法とガバナンスを修士課程で学び、2009年に修了しました。
■過去、日本以外の国で仕事をした経験がありますか？
Before coming to Japan, I worked as a legal consultant for Government of India for 10 years. My responsibilities involved designing and managing large projects which would help people know about their rights and help them protect their rights. I also managed projects for protection of environment and sustainable use of natural resources. For several years I worked in partnership with the United Nations on many assignments.
来日する前、私は10年間インド政府の法律顧問として勤務していました。人々が自分の権利について知り、自分の権利を守るために役立つような大きなプロジェクトの設計と管理を任されていました。また、環境を守り、天然資源の持続可能な利用を維持することについてのプロジェクトにも携わっていました。数年間、国連と協力して多くの任務を遂行しました。
■今後の目標
Set up a business in Japan which caters to food, helps build connections between people of different cultures by providing opportunities for dialogue and supports budding artists in Japan.
日本で食品を扱うビジネスを立ち上げ、対話の機会を提供することで異文化の人と人とのつながりを築くことや、日本で新進気鋭のアーティストのサポートをすることが目標です。
