2025年3月28日にミャンマー中部でマグニチュード7.7の大きな地震が発生しました。
ミャンマーだけではなく隣国のタイでも大きな被害をもたらしています。
日本も地震の多い国です。
何度も大地震を経験し、記憶に新しいのは2011年の東日本大震災です。
死者18,131人、 行方不明者2,829人という大災害で、海外からたくさんの支援をしていただいました。
支援をしたいけど、どうしたらいいのかわからない人もいるかと思います。

On March 28th 2025, a massive earthquake of magnitude 7.7 struck central Myanmar.
The earthquake has caused significant damage not only in Myanmar but also in neighboring Thailand.
Japan is also one of the most quake-prone countries in the world.
We have experienced many large earthquakes, with the most recent and devastating one being the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.
The disaster resulted in 18,131 deaths and 2,829 missing persons, and we received immense support from around the world.
Some people may want to help but are unsure how to contribute.

この度は、ミャンマー大地震による救援事業への緊急支援のお願いを申し上げます。
私たち京都大学のミャンマー人留学生、研究者と京都精華大学のミャンマー出身の教員を中心に、2025年3月28日に起きたミャンマーの大地震の救援活動をしている団体に必要な救援物資を支援したいと思います。
今回のミャンマーの大地震は、サガインを震源として マグニチュード7.7であり、サガインとマンダレー地域で壊滅的な被害を受けました。
3月3１日 DVB TV News によると、3,000人以上が死亡し、5,317人以上が負傷しており、早急な救援活動が不可欠となっています。
しかし、ミャンマーは４年前に軍事クーデターが起きて不安定な情勢下にあり、現在の被災状況の把握がなかなか進んでおりません。
そんな状況のなか信頼できる現地の救援団体であるミャンマー救援隊（マンダレー支部）を始め、様々な現地のボランティアを介して寄付金全額を以下の活動に使わせて頂きます。
1. 瓦礫の下に閉じ込められた生存者の捜索・救助活動
2. 避難家族への緊急医療援助、食料、清潔な水、シェルター
3. 崩壊したコミュニティの再建を支援する長期的な復興活動
第１次目標額は、150万円です。

Dear All,
I would like to share information on our fundraising campaign for the Myanmar Earthquake Emergency Relief. We are a group of Myanmar students and professionals at Kyoto University and Kyoto Seika University, urgently calling for your kind support to our campaign. The funds we raised will be used for emergency relief for the victims of the devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck central Myanmar on March 28, 2025. With over 3,000 lives lost and 5,317 (according to the DVB TV News) injured, immediate action is critical. In collaboration with the Myanmar Rescue Federation (Mandalay), a trusted local rescue organization, we are channeling all donations directly to:
Search and rescue operations for survivors trapped under rubble
Emergency medical aid, food, clean water, and shelter for displaced families
Long-term recovery efforts to help rebuild shattered communities
Our mission is to raise a total of 10,000 USD ( approximately 1,500,000 Japanese Yen).
