■今現在、あなたは日本で何をしていますか？
I’m a graduate research student at Saitama University. I came to Japan thanks to the MEXT scholarship, and I’m expected to be here for around three years doing research and completing a master’s degree.
埼玉大学の研究生として国費外国人留学生奨学金で来日し、3年間研究をしながら修士号を取得する予定です。
■過去、日本以外の国で、どんな学校に通い、どんな勉強をしましたか？
There I studied in the University of the Republic, where I did both a bachelor and a master’s in Education.
母国ウルグアイの大学では、教育学の学士号と修士号を取得しました。
■過去、日本以外の国で仕事をした経験がありますか？
I’ve worked in my native country ever since I turned 18. I did administrative work in two different government offices. During the pandemic I was also able to monetize some of my hobbies, by selling digital illustrations and 3D models. Nowadays I have a part time job at my university correcting students’ essays, which is closer to my goal of working in the education field.
私は18歳から母国で働いており、2つの官庁で事務の仕事をしていました。パンデミックの間は、趣味の一部であるデジタルイラストや３Dの立体模型を売ることで収入を得ていました。最近は、大学で学生の小論文を添削するアルバイトをしていて、これは教育分野で働くという私の将来の目標に近いと感じています。
■今後の目標
For the future I hope to continue to build my academic career, as my primary goal is to achieve an university position that would allow me to both teach and do education related research. I would also like to achieve proficiency in the Japanese language and incorporate its use to my work activities.
将来は、大学で教員として働きながら教育関連の研究を行うことを第一の目標に、学歴を積んでいきたいと考えています。また、日本語を習得して、仕事にも活かしていきたいと思っています。
