Special free invitation to the 26,800 yen tour!

◆Points
1. Experience the wonders of Nagano in a day together with a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter. On this tour,
see the miso production process in Nagano, which takes pride in being Japan’s top producer of miso, and visit the Jigokudani Monkey
Park which is known for wild Japanese macaques soaking in hot springs during the cold season.

2. Miso is a traditional food that has been supporting the dietary life of the Japanese. On this tour, you will visit the brewery Shioya Jozo and see how miso
is made. This historical brewery was established about 300 years ago as a salt merchant and began producing miso toward the end of
the Edo period (1603-1868). Ten of the brewery’s buildings have been designated as some of Japan’s Registered Tangible Cultural
Properties, and to this day, the brewery continues to make miso and soy sauce. After the tour, you can also enjoy tasting miso soup and
sweet rice wine, “amazake”.

3. You can explore the traditional townscape at your leisure and enjoy your lunch on your own.

4. Jigokudani Monkey Park is loved by people from around the world as a place where the behavior of Japanese macaques can be observed up close throughout the year.
While the sight of wild macaques, or “snow monkeys,” bathing in hot springs is famous as a winter tradition, even during the off-season when the monkeys are not soaking in the hot springs, visitors are captivated by the adorable baby monkeys during the spring birthing season and the heartwarming sight of lively young macaques playing around in the summer.
